God's Plan for Salvation

John 3:16

The Basics:

According to the unchanging Word of God, we are all born into sin and destined for an eternity in Hell, permanently separated from God.  This is the penalty for the sinful nature of mankind.  Hell was prepared for the devil and his demons, not for you and I.  However, sin entered into this world through the sins committed by Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.  God says in Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." and that in Romans 6:23 "The Wages of sin in deaths."  The Good news is that Jesus Christ came to earth to be the sin sacrifice for you and I.  In II Corinthians 5:21 God says "He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."  Jesus tells us that "no man comes unto the Father except for through the Son"  Jesus has given us a free pathway and the only pathway into Heaven according to the Word of God.

The Outline:

I.      You must realize that we are all sinners:

1.  Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

2.  Romans 3:10 - As is it written, there is none righteous, no, no one.

3. No one is perfect, we are all sinners.

II.     You must accept that there is a penalty for our sins.

1. Romans 6:23  - For the wages of sin is death...

2. Revelation 40:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.  This is the second death.

3. This death described in the Bible as the second death is the lake of fire or hell.

III.   You must accept that Jesus Christ has already paid our sin in full.

1. Romans 5:6 - For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

2. II Corinthians 5:21  - He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

3. Jesus paid our sin debt on the cross of calvary, His shed blood is the remission for our sins.

IV.     You must except by faith what Jesus Christ did for you.

1. John 3:36 - He that believeth on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth in him.

2. John 5:25 - Verly, verly I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

3. To believe on the Lord Jesus Christ means that you accept that fact that you are a sinner, and that as a sinner you owe the sin penalty, and that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay the debt you owe.  But it means going one step further, it means that you will completely trust in Christ, and that you put you life and the matter of salvation in His hand and depend on him to guide you and give you everlasting life.

That is the plan of salvation. The moment that you trust Jesus Christ, God promises you are not condemned but have everlasting life and that you will not perish in hell for ever.  If you will open you heart and trust in Jesus Christ right now, please pray this simple prayer.

"Lord Jesus, I want to know you personally.  Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins.  I open the door of my life to you and ask you to come in as my Savior and Lord.  Take control of my life.  Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life.  Guide my life and make me the kind of person you want me to be."

If you just prayed this prayer, would you tell us about it.  We would like to help you get started in you new Christian life.
