THE STORY!!

GOLD is for HEAVEN
Heaven is a beautiful place where the streets and city is made of pure gold. Christians go there when they die. The Bible says "Only what is pure will enter it (Heaven). No one who fools others or does shameful things will enter it. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life will enter the city." Revelation 21:27 The one thing that will never be in Heaven is . . .

SIN!! BLACK stands for SIN.
Did you know that you have to mix all the colors in the world to make Black? It's the same with sin, all the people of the world sins. The Bible says "Everyone has sinned. No one measures up to God's glory." Romans 3:23 That means we all do, say and think things that makes God unhappy. Like lying, stealing, disobeying our parents and being mean to others. But there is one way to be forgiven of our sins. That is with Jesus Christ's . . .

BLOOD. RED stands for the blood of Jesus.
Jesus died on a cross and shed His own blood for us. Back in the day that Jesus lived, people would make sacrifices to God to ask for forgiveness and to show Him that they loved Him. The Bibles says "In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be made clean with blood. Without the spilling of blood, no one can be forgiven." Hebrews 9:22 So, God sacrificed His son, Jesus, to give us forgiveness and to show how much He loves us. You and me. Jesus was the last and greatest sacrifice. If you accept Jesus as your sacrifice and ask Him into your heart, your sins will be washed away and your heart will be . . .

CLEANED as WHITE as snow.
Have you ever got a nice white shirt all muddy. What did you do? You asked your mom to wash it. So she put it in the washing machine and cleaned all the mud off. That's what Jesus does to your sin filled heart when you ask Him to forgive you. The Bible says "Even though your sins are bright red, they will be as white as snow." Isaiah 1:18 Did you know that the color of white is made by taking away ALL other colors? That is how you heart is when He takes away your sins. But how can you keep from sinning and please God? You have to do your best to . . .

GROW as a CHRISTIAN. GREEN stands for growth.
A plant that is growing good is bright green. But a plant doesn't grow on it's own. It needs air, water, dirt and sunlight. A Christian needs things to grow, too. You need to pray, study and obey the Bible, go to Church and confess our sins. The Bible says "Grow in the grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Get to know Him better." 2 Peter 3:18 The best way to know Jesus better is to talk with Him (pray), learn about Him (Bible and Church) and obey Him (confession). THE THREE SIMPLE STEPS!!

Admit

that you are a sinner. Remember what the Bible says, that all have sinned? Everyone sins. Even you and me. We all do, say and think things that are wrong. It is all part of being a human. So, just admit or confess it to God. He knows it anyway.

Believe

that Jesus is really the son of God. Believe that He really died on that cross just so YOU could be forgiven of your sins. Believe that He arose from the dead on the third day, went to Heaven and opened the doors to Heaven for you.

Commit

your life to God. Love Him with ALL of your heart, mind and soul. Love Him more than anything or anyone on Earth. Do all you can do to learn more about Him, and never be ashamed to share God with other people.

THE PRAYER!!
If you understand and agree with everything you have read, and want to become a honest-to-goodness Christian, all you need to do now is talk with Jesus and ask Him to live in your heart. Pray this prayer with all your might, and be sincere (honest and truthful) as you say it.

Dear Jesus,
I admit to you that I have done, said and thought things that were wrong. I am a sinner, and I know that you are the only one who can truly forgive me. I am sorry for all the sins I have done, and I need you to help me live a better life. I need you to help me to not sin. I am asking you to come into my heart and my life right now. Please fill me with your love, forgiveness and grace. I believe that you died on the cross so I can ask you these things, and I thank you and praise you for doing it just for me.
In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

Remember to tell your parents of your decision . . .
talk with your pastor about getting baptized and joining a church . . .
pray often, you can talk to Jesus anytime you want to. . .
go to Church, Sunday School, VBS and any other Christian activities . . .
read your Bible everyday and obey what God says in it . . .
and be sure to about Jesus!!
