OBJECT
LESSON:
Psalm 105:1-2. The bookmark represents the supreme 'wonderful
act' of God. The crown with the three circles depicts the royal throne of God
the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The earth, God's footstool, is pictured below
the Heavens. The 'cross/ladder' is our only way to reach heaven. Apart from the
work of Christ on the cross, we would be unable to reach God on our own efforts.
The Bible says, "For it is by grace (undeserved favor) you have been
saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by
works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ
Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians
2:8-10
To make known among the nations what he has done is part of
the good works which the Bible speaks of. We are to tell our neighbors,
our friends, and the people we meet, the wonderful things which God has already
done for us, as well as, what he is doing for us today!
The Bible also
says, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." How, then, can
they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the
one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching
to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How
beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" Romans 10:13-15.
Let this bookmark be a reminder to you to make known to your
world the good news of Jesus Christ!
